Recruitment Operations Intern

calgary, alberta

At Align Collective, we work in a way that is fast-moving, thoughtful, and highly relationship-driven. This summer, we are looking for someone who wants to step into that environment and learn how recruitment really works behind the scenes.

This is not a passive internship. You will be involved in live searches, candidate outreach, research, scheduling, systems, and all the detail that keeps a search moving. Some days will involve deep administrative work, some will involve candidate conversations, and some will involve figuring out how to use AI to make everything run smarter and faster.

We are looking for someone who is naturally organized, comfortable picking up the phone, quick with technology, and curious enough to ask good questions. You do not need recruitment experience, but you do need strong instincts, sound judgment, and the ability to keep up. There is the opportunity for this role to develop into a permanent part-time position in the fall.

What the role will look like

  • Supporting full-cycle recruitment across active mandates

  • Managing outreach, scheduling, follow-up, and search administration

  • Keeping systems, candidate records, and project details clean and current

  • Speaking with candidates and helping coordinate interviews

  • Conducting research and market mapping

  • Using AI tools to improve efficiency and sharpen output

  • Helping ensure nothing important falls through the cracks

You will likely enjoy this if you are

  • Highly organized and naturally detail-oriented

  • Comfortable on the phone and able to communicate professionally

  • Tech-forward and quick to learn new systems

  • Interested in how businesses hire and how people make career decisions

  • Able to work independently without needing constant direction

  • Motivated by outcomes, pace, and responsibility

Compensation

This role is structured with a lucrative commission model, designed to reward contribution and initiative. For someone sharp and engaged, there is meaningful earning potential alongside real exposure to how a modern recruitment business operates.

This is a strong fit for someone who wants practical experience, real responsibility, and a front-row seat to how hiring decisions get made.
